Everything you need to know before building.
Do I need a FlowThingy key? +
Yes. FlowGuild requires an active FlowThingy key. Get one free in under 2 minutes via the step flow — the same key used for the Minecraft mod and other FlowThingy tools.
Does FlowGuild stay in my server? +
No. FlowGuild builds your server, transfers full ownership to your Discord account, and then leaves. After the build, your server has no persistent bot in it — it's entirely yours to manage.
What is a Discord User ID and how do I find it? +
Your Discord user ID is a unique number (e.g. 123456789012345678). To find it: open Discord → Settings → Advanced → turn on Developer Mode → right-click your username anywhere → Copy User ID.
What exactly gets built? +
FlowGuild creates: roles with correct permission bits and colour, categories with appropriate permission overwrites (staff areas are private, announcement channels are read-only), text and voice channels nested under the correct categories, and verification roles with restricted @everyone permissions. The structure matches your template or AI description.
Can I customise the template before deploying? +
The AI mode lets you describe exactly what you want. You can be as specific as "add a marketplace category with buy-sell-trade and price-checks channels, keep the staff area private, and add a content-creators role." For template mode, select the closest match and edit after the server is created.
What happens if it fails partway through? +
If anything goes wrong during the build, FlowGuild automatically deletes the incomplete server to avoid leaving behind a broken state. You can then try again with the same settings.
How many servers can I create? +
You can create as many servers as you have a valid FlowThingy key for. Each build is independent. The tool may occasionally be briefly busy if high demand coincides — you'll be told to retry in 30 seconds.
